Have you heard of Skeleton Flower? They are a woodland flower that makes the petals transparent when in contact with water, and the results are breathtaking.
This flower’s scientific name is Diphylleia Grayi, a rare species because it is rarely seen globally. It only grows in the humid mountains of Japan, China and the Appalachian Mountains. The loose cell structure of white flowers leads to the process of water contacting the petals.
When it rains, water flows through the petals’ cells, making them crystal clear and truly unique. Once the humidity disappears and the petals dry, they restore their natural appearance and return to white flowers. This is a fascinating phenomenon, and because of modern technology, someone managed to film the whole process and made a video to introduce it.
